Tip of the Week

Mounds of deliciously sweet strawberries from the Willamette Valley fields heaped over homemade shortcake and smothered with fresh whipped cream and vanilla ice cream. Life doesnīt get much better than this! For those of you who are looking for directions to this strawberry paradise, here they are: Silverton is about 15 miles east of downtown Salem; 12 miles east of Interstate 5. Distance from Portland is about 42 miles. Traveling south from Portland, take Exit 360B - marked Chemawa - from I-5 and drive east to Silverton. (Event is held each June on Fatherīs Day)
